“In order to compete at the very best in collegiate cross country three things are key: summer training, efficient workouts, and ecovery. Getting frequent massages has allowed my body to handle the high mileage bulk of summer training, the intensity of in season workouts, and the recovery from the wears and tears of being a competitive athlete. Without massage, I would have never been able to increase my overall amount of training or the intensity of my training without breaking down.
